The 2013 playlist now has three entries, after the big decisions this weekend in the world of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Switzerland’s entry for Eurovision 2013 will be ‘You and Me’, sung by Heilsarmee. Terry Vision caught up with lead singer Christop Jakob backstage after the show to find out how The Salvation Army sees the Eurovision Song Contest.

Rest easy Eurovision fans, this week’s ‘SVT Thursday’ news, the traditional time to tweak rules and formats for the 2013 season, focuses on the Andra Chansen round of Melodifestivalen.

This week’s Insight podcast has music from Nuteki, news on our first performer and song (hopefully Belarus won’t change their mind again), as well as more National Final details, video mash-ups, and a complaint about ‘SVT Thursday’.

Samantaha has spent the last decade introducing The Eurovision Song Contest to her American friends and family. While many recall that ABBA and Céline Dion were famous alumni, others seem to think that any and every campy, catchy, European song that has entered the public consciousness has tread the Song Contest boards at some point. That being said, some of these red herrings could have easily made an impact on the scoreboard if they were actually Eurovision songs.

We have the first performer and song for Malmo, Alyona Lanskaya for Belarus singing Rhythym of Love. Now let’s see if President Alexander Lukashenko steps in as he did last year and we have to revisit Belarus in the next weekend round-up!
