Eurovision Insight Podcast: The Malmo Six Written by on December 27, 2012 | 4 Comments

The final Insight podcast of the year, and it’s already been a busy December for six countries, with National Finals and selections giving us just over 15% of the running order for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest to be held in May next year.

With 39 countries confirmed to take part by the EBU, and less time for the delegations to spend in Malmo (even if it is just one day) there are changes afoot for the Contest, and that includes how the press will cover the rehearsals and the build up to the big event next spring.

All that, and some SVT Thursday news, in the podcast, along with a bit of classic Eurovision to see out the year!

Eurovision Insight Podcast: The Malmo Six

Now we have six songs in the 2013 playlist, a complete entry list, news on rehearsals and press centres, and the ‘Euphoric’ delights of Milli Secim Turu. With music from Anne-Marie David, hosted by Ewan Spence.

  1. Ben says:

It’s pronounced “Festivali i kunguss” as I learned from a Kosovar guy I lived with a few years ago. 😉

  2. Ewan Spence says:

    But ‘Skegness’ is inherently funny!

  3. Marc says:

I doubt Anne Marie David will represent France, as their Head of Delegation has already announced that they are searching for a “contemporary folk song” to represent them in Malmo.

  4. Ewan Spence says:

True, but (a) she has announced it and (b) more importantly it’s an excuse to play 1973 again !
