Lots of results to get through in this week’s Insight podcast, including Denmark’s winning song, more Scandinavian results, SVT Thursday, name changes, hosts, and more. Oh and music from Valentina Monetta, and a song about Twitter from Ben Walker.

John Egan is a New Zealand-based fan of the Contest, and something of a nerd. Oh, and a social scientist. The big weekend news is that we have the seventh entry for Eurovision 2013 – Denmark’s Emmelie de Forest with ‘Only Teardrops’, but there was a lot more going on than Dansk MGP.

Denmark will send ‘Only Teardrops’ to Malmo, and Terry Vision caught up with Emmelie de Forest after the win for a quick chat.

The ESC Insight team are on the train to Herning for tonight’s Melodi Grand Prix Final in Denmark, with the broadcasting team at DR promising to put on a fantastic spectacle of a show.

Just before we head to Denmark for the MGP final there’s time for another Insight podcast. With the traditional SVT Thursday news, National Final results from last week, some internal selections, and another rather ropey bit of mixing on Pohja Tallinn’s Eesti Laul track.
