We’ve been here in the Press Centre for a few days now, with the first rough rehearsals coming across our screen. Before the Semifinals next week, Samantha takes a quick look at some of the facts and figures on who we’ll all see on stage this year and how they got there!
Donald McNaughton and John Hodgkiss join Ewan Spence for the last semi-final batch of songs in this year’s Juke Box Jury podcast, with songs from Portugal, Sweden, Russia, and Poland.
Terry plays with fire as he speaks, sings, and dances, with Romania’s Paula Seling (accompanied by Ovi on the piano). Will they fly to the moon, or will it be a miracle if he survives? One thing is for sure: things are going to get interesting…
It’s been a wonderfully hectic day out here on Eurovision Island, with the first set of rehearsals, short-form press conferences, and interviews taking place. The ESC Insight Team is here on the premises, bringing you just a bit closer to this year’s artists. Sam sits down with Aram Mp3, Aarzemnieki, and Tanja.
To all but the most devoted fan-child, there comes a point in every Eurovision fortnight when you just have to go and see something else. Your musical brain muscle becomes so pumped with rehearsal after rehearsal that you feel the need to go and recalibrate with something just that little bit removed from the Eurovision norm. And seeing as Copenhagen is internationally renowned as a world class musical city, there’ll be plenty going on to help reset your internal iPod.
Looking back on day one of the tech rehearsals at Copenhagen on the Insight podcast. With Ewan Spence and Samantha Ross (ESC Insight), Daniel Gould (Sofabet), Roy Delaney (Eurovision Apocalypse), and Debbie O’Hare (Flying the Flag).
