Right then, lets get started. With a bit of a whimper this year the September 1st deadline has passed, any new song released from this point forward is eligible for the Eurovision Song Contest. For many, that marks the start of a new Eurovision season, which sounds like a good reason to listen to the ESC Insight podcast and get up to speed with what we know, what we don’t, and what we can guess.
Eurovision Insight Podcast: Let The New Season Begin!
Just like that, we start again. The September 1st deadline is past, broadcasters get ready to listen to over 10,000 songs, and the exciting road to finding one three-minute winner in May has begun. Ewan Spence brings you the latest news from the world of the Eurovision Song Contest (with a garnish of X-Factor).
As this new Song Contest season dawns, don’t forget to keep up to date with all of the Eurovision news by subscribing to the ESC Insight podcasts. You’ll find the show in iTunes (why not leave us a review?), and a direct RSS feed is also available. We also have a regular email newsletter which you can sign up to here.
Good to have you back, Ewan!
Always difficult when there is nothing really happening but it’s early…
Not sure that Saara should ever sing Wuthering Heights to the X Factor panel – it sounded very ‘Kate Bush-lite’. Someone commented on Wiwibloggs that she sounded more Broadway than Pop – I think that was spot on…
And Ewan – Soccer? Really? I thought this was Eurovision, not MLS lol 🙂
