Well that was a quiet week, not much happened, a few songs, a square stage with bits hanging off it, and a brave declaration that this year’s Eurovision Song Contest will last less than 3 hours 30 minutes.

Oh and the voting change. Which, if you;re honest is a tiny change and a big change. A tiny change in the scoring so there’s no more tricky combining of jury and public (just straight addition), and a big change in presenting the same score to try and hide the result as long as possible.

All that, the results cards, news form the National Finals, and your diary appointments for the next seven days. This is Eurovision, and this is your podcast.

Eurovision Insight Podcast: Voting Is Dead, Long Live The Voting!

  1. Ben says:

    Hi Ewan

The bottom set of televotes all being announced at once – I expected them to do this anyway, but you seem to say it’s been confirmed, has it?

  2. Ewan Spence says:

I have confirmed this with SVT.

  3. Monty says:

I can’t claim the guaranteed climax: that’s the EBU’s own words on their announcement. I just murdered the metaphor 🙂

  4. Ewan Spence says:

I rarely remember an EBU climax.
