Dutch success
Tuesday night will go down in history, when The Netherlands finally ended their 8-year bad luck streak with the qualification of Anouk to Saturday night. Record numbers reportedly also tuned in locally to see the event, with a total of 3.7 million for the actual performance – an increase of more than a million compared to last year.

Racism at the contest?
Following last nights result, Sara from Serbian non-qualifier Moje 3 took to Twitter to express her outrage at not making the cut. She claimed that non-English songs had no chance to make it to Saturday night and that the act were good enough to be at the final. Of course, that would be news to Estonia who did qualify with a song in national language last night.

Bucks Fizz return to Eurovision

Mike Nolan and Cheryl Baker will be live tweeting throughout the event on Saturday night for the fans. Irish eyes are smiling in Malmo
Leanne Moore, backing singer for this years’ Irish act Ryan Dolan (and previously with Jedward), has been commissioned to blog her experiences on the ground at Eurovision. Of course, Serbia failing to qualify had nothing to do with them looking like stripper-fetish cupcakes. Oh no.
And they also may want to listen to Moldova.Another one qualified though not singing in English.
Or they can look at Serbia’s own history- qualifying and even winning, though not singing in English
For the record, someone has now commented on the Serbia article that the tweets attributed to Sara may not be from Sara. It’s not actually her account, but belongs to an anonymous person who claims to “know her personally”.
