Lisa-Jayne Lewis

Lisa discovered the Eurovision Song Contest in 1991, fell in love with it in 1992 by the time 1993 rocked up, she was a confirmed addict! As a descendant of Austrian & Dutch immigrants to the UK, Lisa considers 2014 to be ‘her year’ at Eurovision, with Austria and The Netherlands doing a one-two at the top of the leader board! Lisa grew up in Guildford, Surrey and having discovered Vogue magazine at the age of 12 which lead to a love for fashion and make-up, as a teenager she wanted to be a stylist and make-up artist. Life took her in a different direction and in 2000 she moved to the USA where she worked with The Salvation Army as a Youth Pastor and Emergency Responder, she served as a chaplain at the World Trade Center following the attacks of 9/11 and on the Gulf Coast Logistics management Team following Hurricane Katrina. During her time living in the USA, her parents recorded every Eurovision Song Contest which she would then catch up with on her next visit back to the UK, she spent a memorable Christmas Day in 2004 watching Ruslana win for Ukraine! After meeting with Garrett Mullhall from Eurovision Ireland at the EBU Conference at BAFTA in 2015 Lisa formed part of the team in Stockholm, where she then joined with Ewan Spence for the ESC Insight alternative commentary, she looks forward to where her Eurovision adventures will take her as accredited press. Lisa now lives in The Cotswolds, but spends as much time as she can in Vienna, oh and she has a tattoo of Conchita’s beard on her wrist - why not?!
