I am going to talk about the EBU decision( the more I think about it the more I am convinced it is EBU decision) to modify the scoreboard, a decision I don’t agree with. This time they added a feature , where you could see the difference in points, between the 1st place and the other top 5, a feature that doesn’t even exist in the modern contest.
I am not sure why the EBU does this and what is the purpose of this tweaking. Does the EBU want to pretend that everything was perfect?-it would be interesting if someone try to ask the EBU about this.
The whole idea of Eurovision Again make fans familiar with the history of the contest, showing that there is more to the contest than what we have seen in the last years.History of the contest is not only the songs or the stage, the costumes and outfits but also the graphic design, the letter type used in a particular year. It’s all part of the history of the contest. Unfortunately it wasn’t always perfect. History is full of imperfection things, and tweaking the scoreboards will not make it perfect, just irritate the likes of me who want to see an old contest as it was, with all of its imperfections. Even if the scoreboard wasn’t always clear and even if you had to calculate by yourself if anyone can catch up with the leader on the scoreboard.
What will the EBU do next ?- painting black & white contests to colour so it will fit the young audience.
