    When I saw the Royal Appointment and MBE headline, for one moment I thought ‘It couldn’t be. Could it?’ Sadly it wasn’t to be, and we’ll all have to wait until next year at least to hear Her Majesty utter that immortal phrase – ‘For services to Eurovision obsessives, arise Sir Ewan’.
