So after a fair bit of humming and hawing, deadlines on deadlines and extensions on top of those, we have the full entry list for Copenhagen. While 37 countries song (Slovenia said yes) might seem a small contest compared to the 43 entries in the Land of Fire, you have to go back to 2004 to find a smaller Contest than 2014.
In any case, countries across the continent are hard at work with selections and national finals to find their song for Europe. The adventure continues, so let us find out where we are this week…

Something I don’t think I’ve actually seen on other ESC fansites is how actual semi final qualifications reflected the statistical analysis laid out just after the January draw and running order, whenever that comes. Could we possibly take a look at how last year measures up, Ewan?
For 2012 the statistics were 9/10 for SF1, and 6/9 in SF2 (the numbers were run assuming Armenia would have turned up). I’ll need to look out 2013, but from memory I think it was 8/10 and 9/10.
