Junior Eurovision 2014 is on November 15th Written by on January 13, 2014

The European Broadcasting Union and PBS Malta have confirmed that this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place on Saturday 15th November, 2014.

2014 is going to be a big year for the little island, as the official website points out:

2014 marks a historic year for Malta, celebrating significant anniversaries as an independent country, as a republic, and as a member of the European Union. Hosting the Junior Eurovision Song Contest on 15 November, the first time a Eurovision event takes place on the island, can now be added to the list of highlights!

Sharp-eyed readers will note that no city has been announced. This isn’t a case of ‘waiting for bids’, it is our understanding that the entire island is hosting the Contest, and not just one location.

Of course we do need a venue. And a Euroclub. And some accommodation. But we’ll get to that soon enough.

We’ve got a date.

Malta, JESC 2014 Host

Welcome to the Junior Eurovision Island
