The Eurovision List for Tuesday 7th May Written by on May 7, 2013

TIme for another look around the web for some of the stories you might have missed in the world of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Turn Around, Bright Eyes…

The UK PR machine is pumping out the stories, admittedly to a UK audience, and now the UK Charts blog has caught up with Bonnie Tyler before she heads to Malmo.

“While I was in Nashville recording Rocks And Honey, I met up with Desmond Child who I’d worked with many years ago,” she explains. “So we went up for dinner at his house and he gave me some songs, and I really particularly loved Believe In Me and a track that’s on the album called Stubborn. But he said ‘But it isn’t finished Bonnie!’ So I said ‘I love this song, I’d love to record it.’ So he finished it at the dinner table, which is very, very unusual [laughs]. But that’s Desmond Child for you!”

How Many Times Will She Beat The Odds?

So So Gay have taken a look at the odds on their favourite songs at this year’s Contests, throwing in their own opinions as well:

So So Gay, of course, do not endorse gambling in any way. We’ve watched enough episodes of Neighbours to know that it’s the start of a slippery slope that culminates in desperate handbag snatching, dodgy loan sharks and a mysterious disappearance that happens to coincide with UK panto season.

You’ll find the full details over on their site.

Eurovision goes mobile

The official website, Eurovision.tv, have launched their mobile app, giving you a timeline of news, videos, and the ability to note your favourite songs during the live show and vote for them from the mobile once they have all been sung. Find the app in the iTunes Store or Google Play for iOS and Android devices

Of course this might not be the only app available for the Song Contest….
