You know there was more to Eurovision than Junior this weekend? Written by on December 3, 2012

Along with Ukraine’s victory at Junior Eurovision this weekend, we had more results from Lithuania, the semi-final list from Malta, and dates for Serbia.

Weekend Results

Lithuania’s heats are nearly over, with the winners of heat 4 announced…

  • Linas Adomaitis
  • Gintarė Korsakaitė
  • Girmantė Vaitkutė

The heat 5 winners will be announced this week, in time for the first semi final which will take place next Saturday.

EscXtra have the full list of 24 names that are through to the semi-final in Malta, although I’m personally excited to see the George Clooney soft-rock sound of Gianni Zammit, Richie Edwards, and Klinnsman, all making the cut.

Finally for the weekend round-up, Serbia have confirmed their selection format for Malmo. Taking place over two nights (March 2nd and March 3rd, 2013), a maximum of 15 songs will be selected to perform on the first night, with five going through to the second show. Both will be decided by a 100% televote.

Coming Up This Week…

  • Friday December 7th: Belarus National Final.
  • Saturday December 8th: Lithuania, 1st National Semi-Final
