Every country gets two sessions on the stage to sort out the technical issues, framing, performances, and other elements that make up a three minute Eurovision song. For Eurovision 2016, that time is now up, everyone has had their time, and everyone moves on to rehearsing the TV and Radio show.
Before we move on, though, we need to look over those last rehearsals…

Okay, last lot of quite sound bites from me…
Sweden – either a smash hit or it will bomb, depending on how this connects with jurors and public…for me, it is a hit as this would fit so well into an early Streets album…
France – no fluffy tutu attired backing singers which is good but a space backdrop? Not sure that this needs that distraction – first half won’t help this, France need to bully SVT into getting 11th or 12th position…
Spain – why is it that only the Ukrainian NF backing singers could actually sing? This is still the party tune of 2016 and as long as Laura for Belgium doesn’t get second half too, this will now be a very memorable tune for the public and will get a big televote…
Germany – Jamie-Lee has the amazing voice and if all the camera focus is just on her face, her singing, this still has a chance of a decent result. If the camera pans all over the place, this one is a lost cause.
Italy – no, still not getting it, even more so with the cluttered back drop which makes Francesca blend in and a lot of the choreography is rather naff. I still don’t get the love for this and I am pleased that her picking first half has killed off Italy’s chances of winning this year, as a lot of fans would be intolerable.
UK – still much the same as always, the mates together act is still working and as long as Joe hits his first notes, this will do well and hopefully will get a LHS finish. Second half draw might end up with J&J finishing the show though…
