Can we have a short discussion on the pre-recorded backing vocals. From some of the reports I read, it seem that this isn’t being wel received

When reporting on rehearsals it can be easy to overstate the importance of the staging. Yes, sometimes with songs like Fuego or Calm After The Storm, the staging reveal can transform an entry’s chances. However, in most cases the impact is marginal if it exists at all For all his sparkly chest glitterball, Vasil aint qualifying. From the various reports of the Semi 1 rehearsals, the conclusions I take are that Russia and Ukraine’s qualification is no longer in question. If Malta had absolutely nailed their staging, they could have more or less sealed the win there and then. The fact that they didn’t doesn’t mean they won’t win. After all, Duncan Laurence’s staging was nothing special, but the song itself carried him over him the line.

Ps – Danie is a great addition to the team.
