Georgia. My second favourite song this year. My only reservation is whether the live performance can live up to the video. A strong Maybe.
Wales. Inoffensive but forgettable. Miss.
Armenia. Reminds me of the Austin Powers song three years back but not as good. Armenia know how to stage for Junior. For that reason only.Maybe.
Israel. I’m prepared to accept Sam’s point that there are hidden qualities to this number that I’m not getting. Unfortunately, I can’t see most juries or public voters getting them either. Miss.
Russia. In an ex Soviet bloc dominated contest Russia can be expected to do reasonably well. But the song has such a cheap kiddie pop chorus that surely won’t appeal to anyone over the age of 8 whose name isn’t Ewan Spence. This isn’t a patch on Krylya or even the Water of Life. Maybe.
