“I wanted to produce music that would stand out.”
The slow-burner of ‘Coming Home‘ is one of the hidden gems of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Following a surprise win at the Malta Song Contest in February, Richard Edward and many members of the band Firelight finally achieved their dream of reaching the Song Contest.
From his time on the X-Factor and three years living in the United Kingdom, Richard Edwards is a familiar face to Eurovision watchers, as are Michelle, Tony, Daniel, Leslie, and Wayne. It’s time to find out more about the people behind the performances as ESC Insight once more goes in-depth on the podcast.

Very interesting interview, it sounds like Richard and Michelle enjoyed the chance for a real conversation. I didn’t realise they had so many attempts at entering ESC. And they really weren’t kidding about those hairstyles in 2005!

Malta have a great song this year and I hope it does well.
Nice interview with the Maltese – very interesting to hear about their journey. Any chance of an in-depth with… Molly?
