It’s Juke Box Jury, but brought right back up to date. Forget about the ultimate winning song (at least until June!) because we have a song contest in less than two months time.
With 43 songs to go through before that first semi final on May 10th, our Judges are going to be busy every Friday right up until then (so no breaks for any Nul Points! quiz).
For this first show, I thought that our regular rotation of judges needed a little bit of a boost, so please welcome to the bench the UK Eurovision singer from the year 2000, Nicki French, and stalwart Paul Jordan to hold her hand as we decide on the Hits, Misses and Maybes of the 2011 songs.

What a fine team Nicki and Paul make!!! 😉
You do know I can look into the “magical computer server box thing” and spot that PJ is Paul Jordan?
:-p
But yes, you can both come back again.
Albania: Feel the Pasion, by Aurela Gace. – lovely woman who screams lots. It’ll make the final and collapse in a heap.
Romania: Change, by Hotel FM. – dull as dishwater, should do okay.
The Netherlands: Je Vecht Nooit Alleen, by 3JS. – They’ve lost the plot but should do better than last year.
Ireland: Lipstick, by Jedward. – Bea Arthur once said the key to comedy is that you need to be very serious. They are very serious, but it’s still a joke.
Switzerland: In Love for a While, by Anna Rossinelli – pleasant song, i hope they don’t mess it up.
Albania – usually i like this kind of songs, but i don´t like her voice, and i can´t feel the passion
Romania – it´s a nice Radio song, but not remarkable
Netherlands – i just don´t like this song, and i expect the Netherlands to miss the final again
Ireland – i really don´t know what to say about this, don´t like and i really don´t know how europe willreact on this.
Switzerland – this is just boring
Coldplay? We all enjoyed the Balkan girls. Romania is not top ten.
Albania is a good maybe because that singer has power but Im reckoning on the bottom half of the final… about 12th to 15th.
As much as I like the Netherlands song They don’t strike me as point magnets and the song is strictly middle of the road so a miss. Whoo claws Nikki (third worst UK entry) French
Ireland is interesting. 12 points from the UK if we get a chance obviously buuuut will Europe get the joke? I don’t think so
Switzerland. Hit. I don’t know she for me is going to be like Portugal two years ago, Talking to you Denmark 2005, or the spirit of you from Albania. Happy feel good engaging music
