Another week, another clutch of Eurovision hopefuls. With just Sweden to declare, we’ve almost got the full line up for JESC in Yerevan, which sadly will now be missing San Marino, but if Junior isn’t for you, the web-voting heats are under way in a number of countries, with lots of potential songs for you to enjoy.
All that and Ell and Nikki singing in London next week at an Azerbaijani Independence Party (details and RSVP for free tickets here) and I stand by the idea you can enjoy Eurovision all year round – time for the electric guitars of the podcast!

Thank you so much for escbuzz.com it’s brilliant for me. Sad days for San Marino. Slovakia really can’t make their mind up at the best of times. Lys’s song is nice but it will flop outside the fans votes.
San Marino is a bit of a shock, but TV stations only have a set budget, I would rather they sing in May than December if they have to choose. Slovakia, well, my running joke is back. Nuff said. And I don’t think Lys can trust the fan vote TBH.
As for ESC Buzz, it’s there to be the window to Eurovision when you just need to know what;s going on – unlike Insight where we hope to keep you here reading and exploring for some time! I;m really glad you like it!
Babel Fish for second chance? It is one of the most unusual choices I have heard of. Why?
The simple answer is because I love it. Have done since I first heard it, there’s a story in it, the music shifts and changes, there are delicate and grand moments, it’s truly emotional, it’s singalong, lighters in the air… just… perfect. And I know I’m in the minority.
I watched the Norweigan MGP with a freind from Norway who also addored that song. I will admit that song was very good as well.
I think it is a good song just a rather odd choice for a second chance, but I’m sure I’m in the minority with Vardlokk also.
I’d also like to say that ESC Buzz is a fantastic innovation for ESC Fan sites. Well done on it.
