I hadn’t been following JESC much this year until I tuned in to watch the live final. I must say the top four didn’t surprise me. Poland deserved to win as they had the best overall package of song and performance. The young Kazakh singer was very polished. The Spanish singer had a lovely unusual tone to her voice and The Netherlands gave a very polished performance live.
My favourite song in the run up was Ukraine, but the staging let them down badly.
