    1. Kazakhstan – I read on Eurovoix, that after JESC, the producer behind Kazakhstan’s participation said that they “were supposed to be in the top 3”.
I ask myself- Do they understand how the contest work?

    2. U.K. – Somehow it seems that the emphasis is on the format, not on the song and singer.
This format reminds me the one from Germany 2017 and it didn’t end that well for Germany, didn’t it?

    3. In compare to previous years – Is everything going according to schedule or are we a bit late in regards to revealing the stage design and first tickets sale?

  2. Ewan Spence says:

    1. I suspect the ‘should have been third’ is partly a lost in translation exercise.
    2. Eurovision You Decide is about getting UK public eyes watching, not the Eurovision OGAE UK members. A new format is a refresh, and allows better publicity to the mass market.
    3. Every year is different, note that ‘revealing’ the stage is not the same as ‘having it designed’. From discussions, everything is running on course time wise for this year’s plan.

  3. Eurojock says:

I wonder if the change in the Eurovision You Decide format is in response to what happened last time, when the clear front-runner song was derailed by a poor live performance. I can only hope that the BBC unearth three strong and distinctive songs. I’m not that confident that they will.
