I get the feeling that it’s going to be a quiet couple of months for the adult version – no Depi Evratesil this year, which helped fill the gap twelve months ago…
By the way Ewan, were you pretending to be an Egyptian whilst still retaining a Scottish accent? 😉
I was going for Spanish nobleman…
Vanuatu! It’s a little north of NZ, a little east of Australia. A small independent island group, full of lovely people and places, including one actual real cargo cult and a live volcano. It is one of my favourite places, and if you every find yourself down under, it’s well worth a visit.
But it does have a developing economy and it is still recovering from devastating Cyclone Pam in 2015. That is, there’s not a lot of money to go around. It would be near impossible for the government (or international aid programmes?!) to pay for entry, so unless they get 100% private sponsorship, seeing Vanuatu in EASC seems very unlikely.
On the other hand, perhaps Vanuatu will become the San Marino of the South Seas!
