In 2007, ‘Eurobeat: Almost Eurovision‘ has one of the surprise hits at the Edinburgh Festival (winning ‘Best Musical’), went on to have a successful West End run, and has been touring ever since. The creative team behind the original show have returned with a sequel – ‘Eurobeat Moldova‘ – and are hoping to break the Eurovision fans’ rule of thumb that ‘you don’t go back again’.

While covering the Edinburgh Fringe with a daily radio show and podcast, Ewan caught up with writer/director Craig Christie, leading man Lee Latchford-Evans, and cast member Oscar Balmaseda, to talk about its history, the new show, the spooky similarities of Poland 2016 in Stockholm and Poland 2016 in Edinburgh, the delights of Cara Mia, and the tricky question of Steps flying the flag.
