Edward af Sillén’s words will be familiar to every Eurovision Song Contest fan this year. As the scriptwriter behind the Contest, the lyricist for the two big musical numbers (‘The Story Of The Eurovision Song Contest‘ and ‘Love Love Peace Peace‘), and a bit-part player in some of the memorable video inserts, he’s had an impact on the Song Contest like few others.

There’s rarely enough time when in ‘the bubble’ for interviews, but he graciously sat down with Ewan to talk more about his life, his career, and fathering Lynda Woodruff.

Just before Eurovision 2016’s Grand Final, Ewan Spence sat down with scriptwriter and lyricist Edward as Sillén. He’s been behind many of the jokes at Melodifestivalen, scripted the last two Swedish Eurovisions, was one of the creative forces behind ‘Love Love Peace Peace‘, and doesn’t want to get stuck in a lift with Chevvy Chase.
