The odds are (just) in their favour
In keeping with a tradition now almost a week old, we examine the chances of Sweden to win the 2012 contest. Following last nights all-star party to welcome in the Eurovision season proper, Bulgarian television aired a piece today featuring yours truly. You didn’t hear it from us, but apparently our faces are more attractive than those featured on Sofis’ dress.
Anke is everywhere
Our favourite host from last years proceedings, Anke, is making a welcome return to our Eurovision screens next week. According to German news, she will be reading the results at the final. No word yet on whether this will feature an interpretive dance, impromptu song or sand
Hump given the hump by BBC
As part of their upcoming special ‘Eurovisions dirty little secret’, BBC cameramen accosted Englebert Humperdinck leaving a recording studio trying to have him wear a slogan tshirt that alluded to some of the controversial discussions of Azerbaijans’ freedom of speech. Needless to say, for a contest that should be primarily about the music, many are not pleased.
