After the opening party last night there’s a few headaches on the team, even though the work carries on. The Big Five and host country Azerbaijan take to the stage for the first time, and it’s not at all what we expected.

    I know that we say that Eurovision can overcome politics and all that but I wonder might Germany just be a little too unpopular in Europe for them to actually manage a surprise win?

    Oh, nobody here in Germany thinks we will win this, but a decent place in the Top 10 would be OK. Roman Lob himself said so after winning the national final. But then again that was the expectation that Germany entered the 2010 contest. And by the way on TV Roman told one of his favorites is Denmark and I have to agree with him one that one.
