Hi guys! Enjoyed the podcast. Totally agree about JESC being the adult show ‘as it used to be’ – right down to some of the songs which wouldnt have been out of place twenty or so years ago!

Also, you’ve got to hand it to the kids – although some of the songs are perhaps not so hot – they all give it a go with their performances and there are some very good young singers there. Some have plenty of stage presence and all the moves when it comes to playing to the cameras. There’s also some very tightly rehearsed choreography.

At the moment, having seen ESCXtra’s rehearsal videos, it’s very difficult to pick a winner I think.

Great to see the daily chat show at JESC!

Looking at the rehersals so far Netherlands look best positioned to win. However Georgia and Russia should get a strong Eastern European vote which is stronger at JESC than ESC.

However Sweden looks set to do poorly. The only reason fans (including me) think Sweden is good is because we are suffering from a schlager deficit at the moment, common at this time of year.
