How to watch Junior Eurovision 2010 this weekend. Written by on November 18, 2010

Right then, 7.15pm this Saturday night (20th November) and what’s there to watch on the telly? Well if you’re in the UK you could go for the might of BBC 1’s Strictly Come Dancing; ITV has All New You’ve Been Framed; or some Rugby Union on BBC 2. In fact the majority of stations over Europe will have their regularly scheduled programming.

While some channel (mainly in countries who have entered) will be showing the Junior Eurovision Song most fans won’t have the option of tuning in on television. But you do have one option open to you – use the official live stream!

Head over to the Junior Eurovision website and (while it’s not there just now) there should be a Mediaplayer option on the night (or go through the main Eurovision site as an alternative link). Click here and you‘ll get the streaming media player. It will carry the concert live on the night. As you’ll need the Octoshape P2P plug-in to watch the show, I’d advise checking out an archived show to make sure everything is in place and set up before Saturday night.

On the night I’ll be running two computers, one for the family to gather round to watch the show, the second with my Twitter clients up to commentate on Twitter (@Ewan, with some questions and answers on @ESCinsight), and the global hash tag of #jesc is likely to be in heavy use.

See you online on Saturday!
