  1. Whether by luck or design, Gabriela will stand out by her entry’s simplicity…

As for Cyprus, do any of them have to get out of their cages? Please say they do – I want to see an acetylene torch on stage for real!

Are we sure that the Austrian treadmill has gone? She was saying that she had trained lots with it and it appeared in the pre-rehearsals here…

Magic tricks didn’t work for Geeter in 2011…and a nice nod to Roy Walker, Ewan!

Samra needs what she is singing about…

Highway have not got a hope in hell of making the Final, no matter how much you guys want this sort of rock to get through – they aren’t good enough and every performance looks a mess.

Iceland is still my #1 and I hope that the second rehearsal is on point…

I still don’t think this is sailing through but Bosnia might (and I mean might) get to the Final now due to the staging and the fact that the rap seems less – also that Croatia will almost certainly give 24 points to this. I think you are all seeing more in this than any televoter is going to see over three minutes – maybe this will be a Finalist but it will act as Final ‘padding’. As for the hollow cello, that is Ana’s standard instrument – she has played that in a bikini!

As for Malta, I hope that the technologically advanced dress does not make WOW the visual disaster that was ‘Still In Love With You’ last year.

Frans was Frans, by the look of it! Which I like, by the way…

My hashtag on yesterday’s acts? #Gabriela

#RollOnTuesday when I’ll be flying out. Every minute spent at work knowing it’s all kicking off is frustrating to say the least. So glad the dailies have started, it feels like I can still get some connection to Stockholm sat here is chilly Edinburgh. Keep up the good work!
