Want to get the flavour and excitement of Junior Eurovision 2011 in preparation to watching it on the screens for yourselves on Saturday night? We have it here!
The 2011 event is one of the most colourful and enjoyable we have experienced in a long time ( judging from the local response and flag waving, we weren’t alone) and ESC Insight have the distinct pleasure to come straight from the dress rehearsal to bring you the latest images from on the ground in Yerevan.
So the show begins! We kick off the proceedings with a colourful display featuring some more recognisable cultural aspects of Armenia, such as Riverdance?
Then we are introduced to all the countries and their participants, including the likes of Russia…
And Lithuania, complete with their own flag wigs
Thankfully, and not too far into the broadcast, we begin with a very polished performance from Russias’ Katya singing Romeo and Juliet
Second on stage is Latvias’ Amanda, and she stuns with a perfect rendition of the beautiful ballad Moondog
Next we find the precocious Lerika from Moldova singing No-No, who doesn’t look too disappointed with her golden scooter prop
Strap yourself in, because after that comes the local Dalita who tells everyone Welcome to Armenia
Bulgarian Ivan unveils his superpowers with his vocals on Superhero
Paulina from Lithuania wins over her hearts with her charm and graceful stage presence on Clouds
Ukraines’ Kristall stretches the boundries of saying hello from Armenia with her tune Europe
Dorijn from Macedonia doesn’t look too disappointed with his performance, winning over the girl with his rendition Till The End of Time
Judging by the staging, scaffolding is the place to be as a Teenager, with Rachel from The Netherlands
Lidiya from Belarus is not just sounding angelic, she is a Angel of Goodness
Erik from Sweden has no plans on Falling from the top of the leaderboard with his best rehearsal of the energetic dancefloor tune
Georgias’ Candy are sounding sweet as they perform Candy Music
Who wouldn’t want One More Kiss from the adorable Femke of Belgium?
After wrapping up the songs, we wrap up the voting with some special guests, including Sirusho performing her hit Qele Qele…
Last years Junior Eurovision 2010 winner from Armenia, Vladimir, reprising Mama…
And Junior Eurovisions’ potential Barbara Dex winner, Molly Sanden.
