Everyone is finding their rhythm now (and not just the performers on stage). There’s a certain pace that reporting from the Dusseldorf Arena requires, and as we watch the artists polishing the songs, producers managing the TV angles, and explosives experts tweaking Eric Saade’s box, the ESC Insight chat show is (hopefully) finding the right pace as well.
Today we’ve got another international panel, with a Scot, an Irish, an American and an Aussie all set to discuss yesterdays rehearsals, parties, and the force of nature that is a Jedward press conference.
Daily News from Dusseldorf, Thursday 5th May
Hosted by Ewan Spence and Sharleen Wright, with…Emma Backfish (ESC Daily)
Keith Mills (All Kinds of Everything)
Paul Jordan (Eurovision Research Network)

Loving the daily updates!
Notice you liked Denmark – but have they changed it and kicked it up a notch at the end?
Phil, in rehearsals it sounds the same arrangement as the national final. Checked with the band, no changes made. P’haps a missed opportunity.
You guys! I’m an American who is one of the “small but devoted” sample of Americans who get INto the Eurovision.
I discovered Eurovision when I studied abroad (in the Netherlands) my 3rd year at university.
Fast forward a decade, and now I’m hosting a Eurovision party (at work, even, because I have to work that day and the conference room teevee is way better than my computer monitor.)
I will also add, I am not the only Eurovision fan in the office, so there will be company.
Thanks for the entertaining and informative podcast!
