Eurovision Insight Podcast: Juke Box Jury 2011 #6 Written by on April 22, 2011 | 4 Comments

It’s not long until Europe gets to decide the winner of this year’s contest, but before then, it’s time for our judges to cast their votes on each song and rate them as hit, miss or maybe.

You might disagree, you might be cheering on Paul or Elaine’s view, but do let us know in the comments – because we know there’s no clear favourite this year!

San Marino: Stand By, by Senit. – it’s bland, but i like it

Moldova: So Lucky, by Zdob Si Zdub – messy and addictive

Estonia: Rockefeller Street, by Getter Jaani.
Russia: Get You, by Alex Sparrow/Alexey Vorobyov.- Not sure about either, they can either sail to the top or sink like a stone.

Slovakia: I’m Still Alive, by Twiins. – can they sing live? Like the song, lets hope it makes it to the final.

    Hi Ewan!
Just want to let you know how much I’m enjoying the podcasts, which I’ve been listening to since last years’ Contest.
For me, it’s been a great source of information and entertainment over the past months and I very much look forward to listening to each one when they’re available.
The Juke Box Jury both to find the ultimate Eurovision Winner and also featuring this years’ songs is brilliant, and I look forward to more. Please pass on my thanks to all members of the jury, who help make it such an enjoyable listening experience.
Thanks again, and please do keep up the excellent work!
    Warmest wishes
    Paul Evans.

SanMarino – lovely song, i like it, but unfortunally will not qualify

Moldova – don´t like it, and don´t want to see it in final

Estonia – really dislike this song, trash beat, and way to much different elements, but Estonia managed to win with bigger crap…..

Russia – good song, but a bit to artificial for me, but i wouldn´t rule Russia out for the title.

Slovakia – lovely little song, but t goes nowhere and will not go out of Semifinal as well

I think that Estonia has the best chance at winning. But as a non UK citizen I am also going to say Russia is a lot better than UK. I reckon UK may struggle past 14th place on the Saturday
