Last week we asked about all the songs entering the National Finals and if you’d be listening to some or all of them. Not surprisingly, everyone is up for listen to as many, if not all, of the songs as possible. For those of you just wanting a flavour, we’re picking out a song to highlight each week on the ESC Insight Podcast.
On to this week’s poll question, and while it has been long rumoured (and hoped for) the news that Italy will be appearing at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest has put a smile on the faces of a lot of Eurovision fans.
There are still questions – for example will Italy put enough money in the pot to be accorded “Big” status and join Germany, France, Spain and the UK in going directly to the Final without having to navigate the semi final system? Or should they get through the Tuesday/Thursday experience, get the stage time, and rely on a good song and smart PR to get the votes?
So what’s your take on Italy returning to Eurovision, and more specifically:
How do you think the EBU should handle the Italian song?
Head over to Facebook for the poll, and while you’re there, swing by and “Like” the ESC Insight Page.
I think Italy should experience again ESC’s feeling, so it’s also better for them to compete in the semi-final too. Since ’97 so much thing changed.. Why should we give to Italy this privelledge anyway?
